YUVAJANASHABDAM - The voice of the youth was started in July 2006 to give voice to the youth of the Indian Orthodox Church. It was a small but bold step taken by some enterprising youth of St. Thomas Orthodox Church, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi, who wished to find a means of communicating with the other Parishes and Dioceses of the Church. Under the aegis of the youth movement of the Parish and with the guidance and blessings of the Diocesan Metropolitan His Grace Job Mar Philexenos, it has grown within a span of 2 years to represent the aims, aspirations and the anxieties of the youth of the Parish. The magazine has received very enthusiastic response from all and it is satisfying that its reach has extended even to outside India. It has become a forum of interaction with the other Parishes and has become a means of enlightening about the activities and programs of Delhi Diocese. The magazine is also catering to the outside Kerala born and brought up generation through its sister enterprise, “The Youth Impact”. Youth Impact is sponsored by the MGOCSM of Sarita Vihar Parish, operating under the guidance of Very Rev. Skariah Ramban and has been regularly featuring news and articles influencing and impacting the young generation. The success of Yuvajanashabdam is attributed to the selfless and unrelenting work of a dedicated bunch of young men and women, devoted to the Church and its faith, who have shown great dedication in sustaining the quality and integrity of the enterprise. The magazine has been nurtured by the contributions from scholarly guest writers who have provided constant support and guidance in this endeavor. The Yuvajanashabdam has evolved within these 2 years to truly become the mouthpiece of the Delhi Diocese.
